"Serial Range DS601 - DS852 This aircraft was one of 200 Lancasters ordered from Armstrong whitworth aircraft in 1941 and built as Mk.11s from Sep42 to Dec43 with up to DS627 having Hercules V1 engines and the remainder Hercules XV1 engines. DS604 was delivered to 61 Sqdn Sep42 , joining 115 Sqdn Mar43. DS604 as QR-W had no operations whilst with No.61 Sqdn. With No.115 Sqdn as KO-B took part in the Key Operation against Essen 3/4Apr43. When lost this aircraft had a total of 49 hours Airborne 0050 11Apr43 from East Wretham. Crashed 0229 at le Thour (Ardennes), 22 km W of Rethel, France. all are buried in le Thour Communal Cemetery.
