JD212 was used in rocket projectile experiments. JD300 was fitted with a .5 inch ventral gun position. Delivered by English Electric Co. (Salmesbury & Preston) between 29Jul43 and 5Aug43. JD409 was one of three 78 Sqdn Halifaxes lost on this operation. See: JD201; JD453. Airborne from Breighton. Shot down by a night-fighter (Hptm Rupprecht, Stab.11./NJG1), crashing 0408 near the Trappisten Abdij, 4 km SW of Westmalle (Antwerpen), 9 km WSW of Turnhout.
