"Serial range DV155 - DV407 This aircraft was one of 200 Lancasters ordered from Metro-Vick in 1941, built as 91 Mk.1s (Merlin 22 engines) and 109 Mk.111s (Merlin 28 engines), mixed, from May43 to Nov43. DV227 was a Mk.111 and was delivered to 50 Squadron Aug43. There are reports that this aircraft also wore VN-F DV227 took part in the following Key Raids: Peenem_nde 17/18Aug43; Berlin 3/4Sep43; Mannheim 23/24Sep43; Hannover 18/19Oct43; Berlin 18/19Nov43; Berlin 26/27Nov43; Nuremberg 30/31Mar44; Schweinfurt 26/26Apr - aborted.
